This website has grown out of the Portland Coalition for Genocide Awareness, a grass-roots group which has put on events to inform Oregonians about genocide and motivate them to action. The PCGA is not an official organization, but rather a gathering of groups and individuals working on a common cause.
This website is managed by Joshua Eddings with the help of a number of volunteers.
The site currently focuses on:
- Showing Genocides around the world in the 20th and 21st centuries
- Collecting resources to help individuals, students and teachers who are trying to understand genocide and why it continues today.
- Curriculum for K-12 schools (elementary, middle school and high school)
